FAQ about Downloadable woodworking patterns and plans

We offer 2 types of download woodworking plan files - Autocad size - which are more expensive and for taking to your local printshop, and standard letter size.

Our File Names that start in BHAC are autocad, while BHP are letter paper size plans.  BOTH will print to letter size.  

Instructions are always printed in Letter size.  But the Templates are EITHER Autocad/File Size or Letter Size.

NOTE: We do not mail these plans.  Check out our other plans to make wooden trucks and cars, and some Vintage Game Board Plans, and some Clearance plans for full size plans we can mail to you.

How to Download:

After your purchase - you will see our Thank you Screen.  On the Thank you Screen is a link to download the plans.  You will also receive an email with your receipt - within the receipt is the name of each item you purchased - the Name of the Plan is the link to start the file download.

Q: Why use Adobe Acrobat for downloadable plans rather than the conventional txt, gif or jpg files. A: gifs and jpg files were intended to be used for photos and simple art work only, not for detailed drawings. Once you’ve downloaded your plans using Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can zoom in on all the details. This feature isn’t available using conventional txt, gif or jpg files.

Q: Do I have to install Adobe Acrobat Reader on my computer?
A: Most new computers are shipped with Adobe Acrobat Reader already installed. Since so many files are now being offered on the internet in Adobe Acrobat format, you’ll be able to use this program for many other applicatons. If you don’t have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, don’t worry. It is easy to install, and it is free to download from Adobe. Remember, you only have to install Adobe Acrobat Reader Q: Will the drawings print clearly using my printer?A: Yes. They should print fine using most dot matrix, inkjet, and laser printers.

Q: Can I use the downloadable offline?

A: Yes. The file is downloaded onto your hard drive or floppy disk to be printed and used whenever or as many times as you like.

Q: Are these files zipped and how long does it take to download them?

A: If there is more than one PDF file contained in the plan than we have combined them into one zip file for downloading. If you do not already have a zip program just click on the following from the creators of the ZIP file format

Q: Will I receive a printed copy of the plan?

A: No, Barley Harvest Plans offered on this site are only available as downloads.
