Upgrade your Scroll Saw with Pegas Blade Chuck Heads - 40% lighter, Less Vibration.
Set of Upper and Lower Scroll Saw Blade Clamp Replacements. These new “Blade Chuck Heads” (also known as Blade Clamps) were developed in Switzerland by Pégas in association with the HEIG engineering school in Yverdon. The studies and the tests demonstrated that the weight of these heads is in direct relation with the service life and the vibrations of the machine.
1) These new heads, manufactured with aeronautical aluminum for resilience and optimal weight, are 40 % lighter than you original Heads.
2) Vibration will be greatly reduced
3) Changing Blades is easier and faster
4) Better protection of the mechanical parts of the scroll saw.
As you can see, they are clearly more compact than original heads and even easier of use. The assembly of these new Heads is very simple and takes only a few minutes.

Excellent quality and easy to install

I have an Excelsior 16" scroll saw and do a lot of fretwork. My original chuck head had worn out and I was told that in order to replace some or all of the parts, I'd have to order each piece separately! When I saw the Peas complete set, I ordered it for its simplicity and Pegas' reputation for quality. It really was easy to install and it's easy to use - no more fiddling to get the blade to hold and tension properly. The order was received promptly too.

Was a little hesitant on ordering these for my Dewalt DW788. I'm so glad I did. Install was easy and fast. Didn't realize how worn out the original guides were. These are so much better. No slippage of blades. Quick release is so much better and faster for inserting blade through holes for fret work. My saw feels like a new saw. Well worth the investment.

Purchased this after seeing it demonstrated by Steve Good (Scroll saw workshop) on YouTube. Installed it on my Excalibur 30 . Works better than the original. I would highly recommend the Ss-Pegas-chuck.
The Pegas scroll saw heads are a great upgrade to my 30" scroll saw; the thumbscrews require minimal torque to hold the blades and tension is always the right amount. Very happy with the purchase.

The Pegasus tension head for my Excalubur saw was easy to install and walks great. It took a little bit of time to get use to it but once I did it works great.
Installed the new chuck heads on my saw, less vibration, and somewhat easier to change blades. I recommend this product as an upgrade to your saw.
The Pegas scroll saw chuck heads fixed the problems with my Excaliber scroll saw like a charm. Very pleased. Saved me buying a new saw.
