These Niqua fret saw blades are for the newest generation of wood types. They have a unique blade design and possess the following traits:
• Every 3rd tooth reversed to prevent splintering on underside
• Allow for a faster, smoother cut
• Widely spaced toothing

I ran out of the precision milled blades (German) from Advanced Machinery. Since I had a sample of the #9 blade from Bear Woods and had used it on 1.5 inch poplar, with success, I ordered several dozen of these Niqua blades. They do the job at hand and leave a nice clean cut. Probably do not last as long as the precision milled ones, but I am pleased with the results and will be using Bear Woods again.
